We are looking for an experienced Project Accounting Controller to join our team. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Director of Finance and will oversee the work of the Project and Contract Administrators. This position is based out of our Head Office in Saskatoon.
Your experience will be integral in assisting in, alongside the Director of Finance, the enhancement of project accounting template and reporting tools such as percentage-of-completion, works-in-process, and reforecasting templates, and implementation of the project accounting module in our information system. Working in partnership with both operations and finance teams, the successful candidate will be responsible for the reporting of construction projects through monthly, quarterly and annual revenue recognition, cost reporting, margin analysis, forecasting, contract asset and contract liability account reconciliations and invoice activities. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical and able to challenge and validate project assumptions to ensure appropriate re-forecasting of projects and estimate-to-complete, and to assist management and project teams in understanding the financial impact of project risks. Assistance with additional monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and operating reporting responsibilities will also be required.

Qualifications
The successful candidate will have prior experience working with project in a project accounting role in a construction or engineering project-based organization. A bachelor of commerce in accounting and CPA designation would be considered an asset, but not a requirement for a candidate with the right experience. Experience with Acumatica and Procore systems would be considered an asset.
